Technical Needs is seeking an Embedded Software Development Contractor to design, develop, and maintain embedded Windows applications for life-saving defibrillator products.

You will collaborate with hardware, usability, and verification teams to implement new features, debug issues, and improve reliability across the software lifecycle.

The role emphasizes strong C++ expertise in Windows, multi-threaded design, and adherence to medical device standards in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years developing embedded C++ apps in Windows.
  • 6+ years software design and development.
  • Experience with multi-threaded embedded software.
  • Strong debugging and problem solving skills.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering.
  • Medical device software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded Windows applications for defibrillator products.

Our client is looking for an Embedded Software Development Contractor to join a leading medical device company dedicated to saving lives through innovative hardware and software solutions.THIS POSITION REQUIRES BEING A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE TO THEIR FACILITYIn this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded Windows applications for life-saving defibrillator products. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, improve existing software, and ensure compliance with medical device standards. If you have a strong background in embedded C++ development, multi-threaded application design, and debugging, this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to life-critical software in a collaborative environment.You will be tasked with developing applications in an embedded Windows environment, participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to implementation and verification. Your daily activities will include coding, testing, and collaborating with hardware, usability, and verification teams to enhance product functionality and reliability.Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PMRequired Skills, Education, and Experience:4+ years of experience developing embedded C++ applications in a Windows environment6+ years of software design and development experienceProven ability to work in multi-threaded applications and embedded software systemsStrong debugging and problem-solving skillsBS degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related fieldExperience with medical device software development is a plus, but not requiredThink you know someone who'd be perfect for this role?
