Job summary

Magna Powertrain is seeking a student/Co‑op to contribute to embedded software development in C/C++ for automotive electronic control systems. You will work within the base software group on motor and chassis components, under guidance from engineers and with exposure to CAN protocols and tooling.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited engineering program with a strong GPA, basic C coding knowledge, and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing engineering degree from an accredited school.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of C coding and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, development and problem resolution of electronic control systems and components for powertrain and chassis.
• Support and adhere to the quality management system (IATF 16949).
• Demonstrate safety awareness and follow Magna policies and procedures.
