Job summary

TerraFirma is seeking an embedded hardware and software engineer to own the design of firmware and low-level code for our robotics platform. You will lead platform bringup, develop drivers, integrate sensors, and shape testing frameworks while collaborating across teams.

You will also mentor new engineers, contribute to hiring, and help deliver production-ready boards and software for a fast-paced startup environment in Austin.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Experience owning large-scale deliverables and driving product roadmaps.
• Experience with embedded software/firmware development for robotics or similar fields.

Responsibilities

• Design firmware and low-level software for embedded hardware and microcontrollers.
• Lead platform bringup for new hardware and develop drivers and sensor integration.
• Own integration, calibration, and testing of sensors for prototypes and production.
• Mentor new employees and participate in hiring processes.
