Swoop Technologies is based in Huntsville, AL, and offers a hybrid role requiring 3+ days on site. You will help build a distributed OS, SwoopOS, interfacing with edge and hardware-specific components, including firmware and kernel modules.

Ideal candidates have a TS clearance, a strong background in embedded systems, and hands-on experience in C and Rust. Travel is 5-20% as needed for customer engagements and deployments.

Qualifications

• Active TS Clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in OS/kernel, RTOS, Embedded Systems/Firmware design, Microkernel, or Bare Metal development.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain embedded system firmware including low-level drivers, bootloaders, and OS-critical functions.
• Contribute to OS integration and kernel-level modules for efficient hardware-software interaction.
• Design and implement application-layer features and services leveraging firmware interfaces for performance and robustness.
• Collaborate with other teams to debug issues spanning firmware, OS, and application boundaries.
• Coordinate with deployment engineering to meet diverse customer requirements.
