Job summary

Logos Space seeks an experienced Navigation Engineer to design, implement, and validate embedded flight software for onboard spacecraft navigation. You will work on device drivers, sensors, timing sources, and data buses, delivering reliable software that operates under strict real-time constraints.

Key focus areas include real-time data handling, fault management, and integration with estimation and mission operations. Collaboration with astrodynamics and ground software teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of embedded/flight software experience in high-reliability real-time contexts.
  • Proficiency in modern C++ for embedded development.
  • Experience with embedded systems hardware interfaces.
  • Experience with Linux, Git, CMake, and automated testing workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded flight software for onboard navigation.
  • Design interfaces for navigation sensors, timing sources, and data buses.
  • Develop device drivers and hardware abstraction layers for flight environments.
  • Implement real-time data acquisition, validation, and telemetry handling.
  • Integrate estimation, timing, and sensor processing into flight software.
  • Build validation infrastructure: unit tests, hardware-in-the-loop, and deterministic replay.
