Job summary

Analog Devices, a global semiconductor leader, seeks an Embedded Linux Software Engineer to drive architecture and deliver advanced embedded software for flagship products. You’ll lead technical strategy, mentor teams, and work across units to align solutions with market needs.

You’ll be responsible for designing complex embedded systems, optimizing performance, and fostering best practices in CI/CD and software licensing while collaborating with hardware teams on SoC development and integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of embedded software development experience.
  • Proven track record in technical leadership.

About The Role

You will serve as a key technical leader in developing sophisticated, embedded software solutions for ADI's most challenging products. This senior position requires deep technical expertise, proven leadership abilities, and the capacity to influence technical strategy across teams. You'll work on complex/critical projects as a key contributor and technical resource, potentially leading teams without formal management responsibilities.

Must Have Skills
  • Embedded Systems Architecture: Advanced expertise in designing sophisticated embedded software architectures
  • Hardware-Software Integration: Deep understanding of hardware-software interfaces and integration challenges
  • SoC Development: Extensive experience with System-on-Chip development and optimization
  • Performance Optimization: Expert ability to analyze and optimize complex embedded systems
  • Technical Leadership: Proven capability to guide architectural decisions and technical direction
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Ability to influence decisions across organizational boundaries
  • Mentoring: Track record of developing technical talent and elevating team capabilities
  • SW Licensing: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various software licensing models, including open-source, proprietary, and hybrid licenses.
  • CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated build and test processes, and integration with version control systems.
Preferred Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred; PhD a plus
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in embedded software development
  • Proven track record of technical leadership
  • Experience with complex system architecture

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $131,285 to $190,108.
