Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer II with strong embedded Linux and Yocto experience. The role emphasizes hands-on work with drivers, kernel customization, bootloaders, and board bring-up, with preference for Xilinx platform familiarity.

You will collaborate with hardware, systems, and FPGA engineers across the software lifecycle, from concept to production, and participate in architecture design and testing to support in-orbit operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded Linux development and Yocto.
• Hands-on work with drivers, kernel customization, bootloaders, and board bring-up.
• Experience with Xilinx platforms preferred.
• Collaborative cross-disciplinary communication is expected.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to full software lifecycle from concept through production.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and FPGA teams.
• Participate in architecture design, implementation, testing, and qualification.
• Provide in-orbit support and troubleshoot post-launch issues.
