Vertical Insure, Inc. in Minneapolis is seeking a Program Underwriter to manage and grow insurance programs within an embedded insurtech context. You will develop program submissions, analyze performance, and collaborate with Product, Sales and Partnerships teams, as well as MGA, carrier, and reinsurance partners.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally underwriting, program management or product support.
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, risk management, finance or related analytical field.
• Experience with insurance carriers, MGAs or carrier relationships; insurtech is a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop program submissions for new insurance products using actuarial models.
• Own reporting and analysis of underwriting and portfolio performance.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop policy forms and program docs.
• Assist in securing capacity from reinsurance and insurers for partner meetings.
• Support development and maintenance of insurance products across verticals.
• Monitor product performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with Sales, Product, Engineering to align with customer needs.
• Contribute to special projects improving insurance operations and launches.
