Job summary

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern at our Milwaukee, WI headquarters to assist with hardware design and testing. You will work with Altium for schematic capture and PCB layouts, support prototype bring-up, and collaborate with firmware to ensure hardware/firmware integration.

Requirements include pursuing a BS/MS in electrical or computer engineering, knowledge of analog/digital circuitry, and hands-on lab experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Foundational knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium).
• Knowledge of microcontrollers and electronic components.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators).
• Familiarity with embedded communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C).
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and apply new concepts.

Responsibilities

• Schematic design and PCB layout using Altium.
• Support prototype board bring-up and debugging.
• Perform circuit validation and hardware testing.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers for hardware/firmware integration testing.
• Document hardware test results and design changes.
• Assist in BOM management and part selection.
• Contribute to design reviews and troubleshooting sessions.
