Job summary

Sibylline is seeking a GSOC Analyst to join a 24/7 security operations team in Minneapolis, MN. The role focuses on monitoring security events, assessing threats, and coordinating responses to incidents impacting clients’ operations and facilities.

You will work onsite at the client’s Minneapolis offices with weekend and holiday shifts, reporting to the Embedded GSOC Supervisor and the Intelligence Operations team. Training and career development are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Familiarity with access control and CCTV systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts, surveillance feeds, and threat intelligence in real time.
• Analyze security events to determine severity, origin, and impact.
• Initiate appropriate response procedures and coordinate with internal teams, law enforcement, or emergency services as needed.
• Collect and assess relevant threat intelligence to stay ahead of risks.
• Document all security events and responses in incident management systems.
• Provide timely updates to clients, management, and response teams.
• Escalate incidents following established protocols for swift action.
• Operate and maintain security tools such as access controls, CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PositionSummary

The GSOC Analyst ispart of a 24/7 team of GSOC analysts, embedded withour client.The role is based in Minneapolis,MNand reportsto the GSOCSupervisor.

GSOC Analystsare responsible formonitoringphysical security functions,detectingand assessing risks, and reporting occurrences whiledeterminingtheir impact on the client's business operations, employees, and facilities.The GSOC uses a variety of tools, such as global access control and alarm monitoring systems, CCTV monitoring systems, threat intelligencesourcesand in-house applications to detect andreportthreats and incidents. These situations can include political instability, terrorism, naturaldisasters,or technical failures.

This position requires the ability to work on weekends and holidays and onrotational shifts. The role isonsite onlyatthe client’s offices in Minneapolis,MN.The shift rotation for this position is 11:00pm – 7:00am, Friday – Tuesday.GSOC Analysts willexhibitflexibility and adaptability to changing needs of the work schedule and shift workload. They must be self-starters, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team.

GSOC Analystswill be managed by the Embedded GSOCSupervisorday-to-day butwill also report toSibylline’sIntelligence Operations team. Full support and guidance will be provided from our head office, including training and professional development.

EssentialFunctions / Responsibilities

Monitor security alerts, surveillance feeds, and threat intelligence sources in real-time toidentifypotential security incidents or threats.

Analyze security events todeterminetheir severity, origin, and potential impact on the organization or client.

Act promptly to security incidents byinitiatingappropriate responseprocedures, coordinating with internal teams, law enforcement, or emergency services as needed.

Collect and assess relevant threat intelligence to stay ahead of emerging risks and trends affecting security posture.

Accurately document all security events, incidents, and responsesinincident management systems, ensuring thorough records for post-incident review.

Provide clear,timelyupdates to stakeholders, including clients, management, and response teams, about ongoing security situations.

Identifyincidents requiring escalation and follow established protocols to ensure swift action and resolution.

Operate andmaintainsecurity tools and systems, such as access controls, CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.

Requires the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate. Schedule may include rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities to ensure continuous coverage.

This position is moderately self-directed and requires understanding and compliance with company policies, procedures, and values. The position works in a virtual office environmentutilizinga computer and standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required tointeract collaboratively with the team and stakeholders, and communicate via phone, videophone, or text messaging. The employee maybe requiredto occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The position may require travel up to 5%.
