Job summary

Petrafundsgroup seeks an Assistant Controller to be dedicated to Canyon Partners Real Estate in Dallas, TX. This role involves supporting accounting and reporting across closed-end real estate debt funds and requires four days onsite.

The successful candidate will oversee financial statements, manage complex fund structures, and participate in audits. An ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of accounting experience in alternative investments and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of accounting experience, especially in alternative investments.
• Experience with real estate, private credit, or private equity fund structures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a dedicated Assistant Controller embedded within the client’s fund finance organization.
• Review quarterly workpapers and financial statements prepared by third-party administrators.
• Oversee complex accounting for closed-end real estate debt funds.
