Job summary

Cindavi is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer II to own firmware development across the full product lifecycle for high-performance lighting technology. You will architect, code, test, and refine firmware powering our products from concept to production and ongoing support.

You will lead multiple projects, develop robust C code for microcontroller-based systems, and collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration and standards adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/CE or equivalent.
• 4+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C and embedded systems.
• Experience with microcontrollers, CAN, UART, and industry protocols.
• Preferred: Simulink, MBSD, FreeRTOS, cybersecurity (HSMs, certificate chain).

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware across the product lifecycle.
• Architect, code, test, and refine firmware for lighting tech.
• Lead one or more projects from concept to end-of-life.
• Write high-performance embedded C code for MCUs.
• Use Simulink to design, simulate, and test applications.
• Define software standards and best practices.
• Support production and hardware decisions.
• Interpret schematics and hardware-software interactions.
• Drive MBSD workflows adoption.
• Develop end-of-line testing and automation scripts.
