Job summary

Mesa Labs is seeking a Firmware Engineer in Tucson, AZ to design, code, debug, and improve firmware for embedded systems. You will work with analog/digital hardware, contribute to testing, and help ensure reliable operation with C, C++, assembly skills.

The role requires a BS in a related field and about 2 years of firmware/embedded experience, with opportunities to grow technical independence in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2 years of firmware, software, or embedded systems engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, assembly, and machine language.
• Understanding of embedded systems, OS, and microcontroller architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, debug, and maintain firmware for embedded systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize firmware for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams on design reviews.
• Document issues and improvements for cross-functional teams.
