Job summary

AlgebraIT is seeking a skilled Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our Onsite team in Redmond, WA. You will develop firmware for ARM-based platforms, spanning the Application Layer to HAL, and contribute to hardware bring-up and end-to-end product development.

The role requires hands-on firmware design, debugging, and collaboration with hardware and validation teams. Experience with Windows device development and CI/CD workflows is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proficient in embedded firmware development with C/C++.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers and ARM architecture.
• Proficient across Application Layer to HAL and firmware stack.
• Strong hardware debugging and board bring-up capabilities.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD release processes.
• Knowledge of Windows device development and related tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for ARM platforms.
• Develop software across Application Layer to HAL and low-level firmware components.
• Implement features and troubleshoot firmware issues.
• Perform board bring-up and hardware validation.
• Debug using oscilloscopes, JTAG, logic analyzers; work with I2C, SPI, UART.
• Collaborate with hardware, validation, and system teams through the product lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, releases, and CI/CD processes.
• Use Git and Azure DevOps for source control and software delivery.
