Job summary

The Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) invites applications for a licensed master's-level clinician to join Behavioral Health Services (BHS). This role builds a dedicated marriage and family therapy program for sworn HCSO peace officers, delivering evidence-based couples and family therapy, individual counseling, and crisis support, with collateral participation by families.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Texas as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW; ability to obtain Texas licensure by endorsement or reciprocity within a defined timeframe.
• Minimum of three years post-licensure experience providing individual, couples, and family counseling.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based couples and family therapy and individual counseling to sworn HCSO officers.
• Deliver family-systems-informed clinical services addressing relationship distress and parenting in high-stress occupations.
• Conduct post-critical-incident visits and mandatory wellness visits.
• Provide crisis stabilization and clinical consultation; participate in 24/7 on-call schedule.
• Train and consult with peers, and develop in-service training on family wellness and stress management.
