Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design, develop, test, and document software for IoT Gateways and Cloud products. You will participate in agile planning, standups, grooming, and effort estimation to deliver robust features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in the software industry
• Full-stack capabilities from metal to cloud (C/C++/C#, JavaScript, HTML, SQL)
• Ability to lead software integration efforts and work across global teams

• Plan, Develop, Test, and Document software for IoT Gateways and Cloud products
• Participate in agile software planning and development activities including daily standups, user story, task organization, grooming activities, and effort estimation
• Plan execution of releases for minimum disruption to major feature release plans that address customer needs and revenue opportunities
• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop documentation, detailed designs, code and tests
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with all product engineering teams and platform engineering team
• Create broad system designs and architectures for large software programs
• Willingness to jump in where needed, learn new technologies, and work effectively across the full stack

Must Have Skills

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer science, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• At least 8+ years of experience in the software industry
• Full-stack: Must be able to go deep from the metal all the way to the cloud. C, C++, C#, Javascript, HTML, SQL, etc
• Integration: Lead software integration efforts
