Job summary

Garmac Limited LLC seeks an Embedded Electrical Engineer to be based at customer sites in Southeast Ohio, with training in Independence, OH. The role places you on the ground, providing hands-on electrical support during construction and buildout and liaising with field teams to resolve routine and complex issues.

You will coordinate with the engineering group for higher-level design questions and contribute to medium-voltage design tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Field and construction exposure: commissioning, construction support, site electrical coordination, or owner’s-side project engineering.
• Ability to interpret one-line diagrams and switchgear layouts.
• Medium-voltage distribution familiarity.
• Strong communication and judgment in field environments.

Travel: ~3 days/week onsite (travel & lodging fully covered)
Employment Type: Full-time, direct hire

About the Role

This role places an electrical engineer directly at an active customer construction site, serving as the on-the-ground electrical presence. You will support day‑to‑day field questions, coordinate with construction teams, and escape complex design issues to the engineering group. Over time, this position is intended to grow into a full substation engineering role.
