Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a related engineering field, or Master’s with several years of related experience, or Bachelor’s with >5 years.
• Excellent working knowledge of C, MATLAB and Python.
• Experience programming and debugging embedded signal processing or control systems.
• Experience with electrical schematics and using test equipment for software and hardware debugging.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain software and firmware for underwater acoustic modems and navigation systems.
• Perform real-time DSP and microcontroller programming; prototype candidate algorithms.
• Conduct sea deployments and data collection, followed by extensive post-processing and analysis.
• Collaborate in a team software development environment with testing and version control.
