THE ROLE:

The Diagnostics Program Management position is responsible for driving schedules, logistics, and overall execution for a diagnostics engineering team. This role ensures successful program delivery by coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing risks, and maintaining a strong focus on execution excellence and product quality. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments, meets aggressive timelines, and is willing to step into unfamiliar technical areas to remove blockers and keep programs on track.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, adaptable, and has a proven track record of delivering complex programs on aggressive schedules. This individual is comfortable working with demanding customers and leading globally distributed, cross‑functional teams. The Diagnostics Program Manager drives teams that architect, design, develop, and debug diagnostic software to deliver on‑time releases.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with AMD Product Engineering, Silicon, and Platform teams, and may engage directly with customers. You will establish and manage schedules, mitigate risks, track progress, and communicate status to stakeholders. Depending on program scope and complexity, this role may involve managing multiple programs simultaneously.

Successful candidates are proactive team players who embrace new challenges, can operate across technical and operational domains, and continuously drive process and execution improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Gather and define diagnostic, debug, and validation tool software requirements in collaboration with design teams, internal users, and customers
  • Partner with functional and technical leads to review product roadmaps and technical documentation, translating requirements into executable program plans
  • Manage development schedules to ensure on‑time delivery, while incorporating customer‑driven changes without impacting committed milestones
  • Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and dependencies across teams
  • Communicate program status through regular reports and presentations to technical leadership and key stakeholders
  • Ensure accountability for on‑time delivery of all program milestones and deliverables
  • Navigate ambiguity and adapt programs and teams to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Lead program budgeting and device expense planning
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial software program or project management, with prior leadership responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile development methodologies
  • Experience working with offshore teams and global customers
  • Proven ability to coordinate and influence across multiple internal functional organizations
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
