Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking a Software Engineer (C++17, Linux) to join the Mission Processing Software team in Poway, CA. Design, develop and maintain enterprise software for UAS technologies and interoperable systems.

You will work on C++17 infrastructure, use Petalinux for ARM 9, and ensure software quality, testing and documentation while collaborating with domain experts and management.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelors, masters or PhD in CS/CE or related, with progressive software development experience.
• Experience with C++17 application development and Linux OS.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, socket programming, and multithreading.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop C++17 infrastructure and services for x86 and ARM 9 systems.
• Use Petalinux build tools for ARM 9 systems.
• Perform unit and integration testing and documentation to meet standards.
• Evaluate software integration within the computing environment.
• Collaborate with domain experts, users and management across the lifecycle.
