Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to serve as an embedded technical expert across global supply chain and sourcing. You’ll partner with product owners, SMEs, and end users to co-develop scalable AI-enabled solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes in a regulated medical devices environment.

You will translate workflow needs into production-ready applications, validate logic, and document decisions while collaborating with INFRA and data teams to accelerate

Qualifications

• 1 year of engineering experience required.
• Proven expert-level individual contributor.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents in production.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Embed with business operators to understand workflows and translate problems into technical opportunities.
• Prototype using ontologies, AI, and engineering to validate direction and scale patterns.
• Design end-to-end workflows connecting ontology objects, data, models, and apps.
• Deploy AI capabilities in a regulated industry and collaborate with external engineers.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system behaviors across data pipelines and deployments.
• Own the execution of sourcing and supply chain use cases from requirements to deployment.
• Build, configure, test, and refine application functionality with product owners and SMEs.
• Identify data gaps and pipeline issues with data teams and external resources.
• Contribute to reusable patterns and documentation with INFRA teams.
