Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking an Email Hygiene Analyst to protect the organization’s email environment. You will monitor security platforms, investigate phishing and BEC attempts, and collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to reduce risk.

The role involves managing Proofpoint and Abnormal Security, reviewing quarantines, and updating response playbooks. You will also support phishing simulations and security awareness programs, while tracking metrics and driving automation opportunities

Qualifications

• Monitor and analyze email threats including phishing, BEC, malware, spam, impersonation.
• Investigate suspicious messages, validate indicators of compromise, and determine risk.
• Coordinate with SOC, IAM, IR, and other teams during investigations.
• Assist with phishing simulations and security awareness initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor email security platforms, alerts, quarantines, abuse mailboxes, and user-reported phishing submissions.
• Investigate suspected phishing, BEC, malware, spam, impersonation, and account takeover activity.
• Analyze headers, sender reputation, authentication results, URLs, attachments, domains, and message content to assess risk.
• Remediate malicious messages, block indicators of compromise, and tune policies to reduce false positives.
• Document findings, remediation actions, and patterns; create SOPs and playbooks.
