Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking an experienced Emergency Management (EM) Manager for MacDill AFB, Florida. You will lead a six-person EM team, oversee DoD and Air Force compliance, and drive readiness, training, and disaster response operations to ensure mission continuity.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in emergency management or related field, 10+ years in EM, and AF Training certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management, Homeland Security, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in emergency management, readiness, contingency operations, deployment management, military operations, or a related field.
• Shall be certified by the Air Force Emergency Manager Technical Training granting the 3E9 skill set identifier
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience as CE Readiness Flight Chief or equivalent.
• Completion of Readiness Apprentice course JCABP3E931 00AA, USAF Readiness Flight Officer (RFO) Course J3OZP32E1D 010, or approved equivalent.
• Completion of Air Force Incident Management Course.
• Knowledge of Emergency Management, CBRN defense, contingency planning, deployment readiness, and emergency response operations.
• Experience and proficiency with Prime BEEF, DRRS, DCAPES, AFIT, ACES, or other readiness management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises day-to-day operations of the Emergency Management Work Center.
• Provides leadership, direction, training oversight, mentorship, and performance management for Emergency Management personnel.
• Oversees installation Emergency Management, CBRN defense, contingency response, and deployment readiness programs.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable DoD, Air Force, installation, contract, and company directives.
• Reviews, develops, coordinates, updates, and maintains emergency management plans and related documents.
• Serves as primary point of contact for EM operations, exercises, inspections, and response coordination.
• Manages EM training programs, Prime BEEF readiness requirements, and contingency training.
• Ensures training is scheduled, documented, and reported in government systems.
• Oversees deployment readiness and accountability programs.
• Coordinates and supports installation exercises, disaster response events, and hurricane preparedness.
• Manages EOC activation, support, and coordination during incidents.
• Establishes Unit Control Center procedures, training, and readiness.
• Conducts EM program reviews, self-assessments, inspections, and improvements.
