Job summary

GHR Healthcare in Clinton, NC is seeking an Emergency Medicine locum tenens physician for a focused three-week assignment. You will provide comprehensive ED coverage during six 12-hour shifts in a 22-bed department with an open ICU, seeing approximately 90-100 patients daily, and using Meditech 6.1 for documentation.

The position requires board-certified EM with at least 1 year of experience, NC Medicaid credentialing, and active PECOS enrollment, along with strong teamwork to ensure safe,

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree and eligibility to practice.
• At least 1 year of emergency medicine experience.
• Board certification is required.
• NC Medicaid credentialing and PECOS enrollment must be active before placement.
• Ability to manage a broad range of emergency presentations independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medicine evaluation and treatment during scheduled 12-hour shifts.
• Deliver solo ED coverage with two APs in split coverage.
• Assess, stabilize, diagnose, and disposition patients across acuity levels.
• Coordinate care with anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedics, and radiology services.
• Manage patient flow in a department averaging 90-100 daily visits.
• Complete timely documentation and orders in Meditech 6.1.
• Collaborate with nursing, advanced practice, and specialty teams to promote safe, high-quality patient care.
