Job summary

Wellington Management is seeking an experienced Emerging Markets Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to lead a discretionary alpha sleeve within the Global Macro team. The role allows base in New York, London, or Boston and emphasizes differentiated ideas and rigorous risk management across EM fixed income.

You will contribute to firm-wide investment dialogue, collaborate with sales and client services to grow assets, and mentor junior investment professionals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant investment experience in Emerging Markets fixed income, with experience managing meaningful assets and an attributable investment track record.
• Demonstrated ability to scale risk across market environments.
• Strong investment philosophy and repeatable process for idea generation, decision-making, portfolio construction and risk management.
• Deep expertise within Emerging Markets fixed income, including sovereign, corporate, local markets, rates, currencies or related credit strategies.
• Fiduciary mindset and focus on client outcomes, with high integrity and ethics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Manage a meaningful discretionary Emerging Markets fixed income alpha sleeve as a member of the Global Macro team.
• Generate differentiated investment ideas across Emerging Markets fixed income, aligned with area of expertise.
• Contribute to the Global Macro and broader firm investment dialogue.
• Partner with sales and client functions to help grow assets and build client relationships.
• Mentor high-potential and developing investment talent within the team.
