Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• MS teaching license endorsements (119-English; 120-Elementary; 177-English as a Second Language).
• Minimum of 2 years teaching ELL students.
• Knowledge of language acquisition and varied teaching methods.
• Patience and understanding of cultural differences.
• Ability to plan and implement instructional interventions with staff.
• Ability to analyze data to guide instruction.
• Strong organizational skills for scheduling interventions and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements a systematic ELL intervention process within a three-tier system.
• Analyzes student work with teacher support groups and coordinates interventions.
• Participates in universal screening for ELL students in reading and math.
• Attends Teacher Support Team meetings at each school.
• Supports staff with data analysis for prescriptive interventions.
• Records and tracks intervention data to monitor progress.
• Promotes parental and community involvement in ELL practices.
• Participates in staff development to enhance ELL programs.
