The role demands fitness, discipline, and commitment to public service. Starting pay is $30.03/hour during training, increasing to $33.11/hour after graduation, with potential lateral transfer at $33.89/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age when recruit training begins.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Willing to live and work anywhere within the State of Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Training Academy with 21 weeks of classroom and practical law enforcement training.
• 500+ hours of field training following graduation.
• Perform patrol/enforcement duties in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
• Complete annual training to retain state law enforcement certifications.
