Job summary

The U.S. Secret Service recruits Special Agents to pursue a dual mission of criminal investigations and protection for national leaders and dignitaries. Selected candidates will undergo extensive training and be prepared to serve at diverse duty stations across the United States and abroad.

Candidates must meet strict requirements, including U.S. citizenship, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must be at least 21 and may be referred up to 40th birthday.
• Possess a valid driver's license and REAL ID compliance.
• Submit to drug testing and pass background checks.
• Must obtain and retain a Top-Secret Clearance.
• Be capable of mobility to domestic or international assignments.
• Must be able to carry a firearm and meet vision/hearing standards.
• Register with Selective Service or be exempt if male.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex investigations into financial crimes and cyber threats.
• Provide physical protection for the President, Vice President, and protectees.
• Plan and implement security measures for NSSEs and high-profile events.
