Job summary

Sporting Kansas City is seeking a SKC II Performance Coach to lead the physical development of players, design comprehensive performance programs, and align training approaches with First Team and Academy staff.

The role emphasizes collaboration across sports science, medical, and coaching staff to optimize training loads, injury prevention, and readiness for competition at multiple levels.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Exercise Science or related field.
• CSCS certification is required.
• CPSS certification is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' strength and conditioning or sports performance experience with athletes.
• Professional soccer experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee performance programs for SKC II players.
• Coordinate with First Team and Academy to align training methodologies.
• Direct on-field warm-up and cool-down sessions for SKC II trainings.
• Monitor training load via GPS, heart rate, and wellness data.
• Maintain performance records and athlete monitoring reports.
• Support athlete development across the Sporting Kansas City pathway.
