Job summary

YMCA of Greater Charlotte is seeking a Tier 4 Personal Trainer – Pro in Charlotte, NC. This PT role delivers a high volume of sessions, mentors junior trainers, and leads continuing education workshops to foster program growth.

Responsibilities include fitness assessments, client retention, and active outreach to promote YMCA wellness services. Requires certification and a track record of consulting and coaching excellence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a nationally recognized personal training certification (ACE/NASM/ACSM/NSCA).
• Proven expertise in client program design, fitness assessment, and advanced coaching strategies.
• Strong interpersonal, motivational, and instructional skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a minimum of 20 personal training sessions per week with customized programming.
• Mentor Tier 1–3 trainers and support their growth.
• Develop and deliver at least one YMCA-approved continuing education workshop annually.
• Lead program development as a subject matter expert in a designated area.
• Perform fitness assessments and track progress for client retention.
• Promote YMCA wellness services through member engagement and outreach.
• Maintain accurate client records and manage scheduling and session tracking.
• Stay current on industry trends and share insights with the team.
• Participate in staff meetings and association-wide initiatives.
• Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in personal wellness and appearance.
