Job summary

Logicalis is seeking an Elite Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage complex multi-tenant networks for a range of business clients. You will troubleshoot outages, optimize performance, and coordinate with vendors and ISPs to ensure high availability and security across environments.

The role requires 4+ years in network engineering, 2+ years in MSP settings, and strong knowledge of routing protocols, VPNs, firewall policies, and NAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 4+ years hands-on experience as a Network Engineer, with MSP/multi-client experience of at least 2+ years.
• Deep understanding of network protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VXLAN, LACP, IPv4/IPv6, QoS.
• Proficiency with enterprise hardware across Cisco/Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto, HPE Aruba, Ubiquiti.
• NGFWs, site-to-site IPsec VPNs, remote-access VPNs, NAC.
• MSP-centric software: ConnectWise, Autotask, Auvik, Datto, LogicMonitor, IT Glue, Hudu.

Responsibilities

• Designs, configures, and deploys scalable LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-network architectures for diverse clients.
• Supports and optimizes client networks across vendor ecosystems.
• Acts as Tier 2/3 escalation for outages, routing issues, performance bottlenecks, security events.
• Uses MSP tools to maintain visibility, track SLAs, and automate tasks.
• Conducts network discovery for MSP clients and creates remediation roadmaps.
• Communicates technical concepts clearly to clients and coordinates with ISPs/vendors.
• Implements security best practices: firewalls, VPNs, micro-segmentation, ZTNA, SOC 2/HIPAA/PCI-DSS.

SummaryThe Elite Network Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures across a diverse portfolio of business clients. The position requires multi-tenant engineering expertise, rapid problem-solving skills across varied environments, and exceptional client-facing communication. The Elite Network Engineer serves as a technical escalation point, drive network architecture projects, and ensure high availability and security for our client base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Designs, configures, and deploy sscalable LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-network architectures tailored to individual client needs.
• Supports, monitors, and optimizes diverse client networks across various vendor ecosystems (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba, Palo Alto, etc.).
• Acts as a Tier 2/3 technical escalation point for complex network outages, routing issues, performance bottlenecks, and security events.
• Utilizes RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management), PSA (Professional Services Automation), and network documentation tools to maintain visibility, track SLAs, and automate routine operational tasks.
• Conducts network discovery assessments for prospective and new MSP clients, documents existing topologies, identify security/operational risks, and creates remediation roadmaps.
• Communicates technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical client stakeholders. Interfaces with ISPs and hardware vendors to resolve service issues and manage RMA processes.
• Implements and enforces network security best practices, including firewall policy configuration, VPNs (IPsec/SSL), micro-segmentation, zero-trust network access (ZTNA), and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values.
• Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Logicalis in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.

Education

Experience / Technical Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in a Network Engineer role, with at least 2+ years working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or multi-client consulting environment.
• Deep understanding of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VXLAN, LACP, IPv4/IPv6, QoS).
• Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise network hardware across multiple platforms (e.g., Cisco/Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto, HPE Aruba, Ubiquiti).
• Advanced hands‑on experience with NGFWs, site‑to‑site IPsec VPN tunnels, remote‑access VPNs, and Network Access Control (NAC).
• Experience using MSP‑centric software (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, Auvik, Datto, LogicMonitor, IT Glue, Hudu).

Certifications

• Active industry certifications such as CCNP (Enterprise/Security), Fortinet NSE 4+, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, or Aruba Certified Switching Professional.

Other Skills and Abilities

• Strong time‑management skills, ability to prioritize tasks across competing client emergencies, and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience configuring cloud networking constructs (AWS VPC, Azure Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect).
• Experience deploying and supporting SD‑WAN solutions (e.g., Fortinet SD‑WAN, Cisco SD‑WAN, Versa, Velocloud).
• Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ansible) for network management and provisioning.

Salary Compensation Range: $82,110 to $105,306 per year
