Job summary

Vertiv – ERS/HVM in Texas is seeking a Field Engineer for Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning and maintenance testing on power systems up to 500 kV. This role supports critical infrastructure including data centers and utility networks, with travel up to 75%.

The position offers up to $95/hour, signing bonus up to $10,000, a company vehicle, per diem, and professional development. Strong growth path to leadership roles is available.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III/IV certification required and in good standing.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Interpret results and author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and serve as technical lead on project teams.
