Job summary

Crimson Education is seeking a high-impact MCAT Tutor to deliver personalized instruction and help build a premium MCAT offering within a fast-growing global education company. This role involves creating high-quality learning resources and shaping the MCAT curriculum from scratch.

The tutor will deliver 1:1 MCAT instruction to pre-med students, assess progress, and contribute to materials aligned with AAMC standards.

Qualifications

• 520+ MCAT score
• Minimum 2 years of MCAT tutoring experience, ideally in a 1:1 or small-group setting.
• Strong teaching ability with proven student score gains.
• Deep familiarity with AAMC frameworks and MCAT cognitive skills.
• Ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging educational content.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 MCAT Tutoring: Deliver high-quality, personalized instruction across all MCAT sections, adapting teaching methods to each student’s learning style, pace, and score goals.
• Student Assessment: Conduct initial diagnostic reviews, identify content gaps, and create individualized study plans that drive measurable score improvement.
• Ongoing Coaching: Provide continuous guidance on test-taking strategy, pacing, study habits, and weekly accountability to keep students on track.
• Session Planning: Build structured lesson plans for each student, including targeted milestones, content review, and strategy reinforcement.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor student performance, adjust plans based on data, and communicate progress clearly to students and families.
• Resource Development: Create foundational MCAT materials such as practice questions, section-specific drills, CARS reasoning walkthroughs, and concise content summaries to support tutoring sessions.
• Curriculum Input: Collaborate with Crimson’s Medical Admissions team to shape the emerging MCAT prep framework, ensuring materials align with AAMC standards and student needs.
• Quality Assurance: Review and refine MCAT resources for accuracy, clarity, and instructional effectiveness.
