Job summary

MarineMax in Lake Ozark, MO is seeking a Certified Marine Technician to diagnose, repair and overhaul marine engines, drives and related systems. You will work with service advisors to define repairs and ensure work is completed on time, with respect to warranty guidelines and safety standards.

Primary duties include inspecting boats, replacing worn parts, testing performance, and maintaining tools and certifications.

Qualifications

Factory Technician Certification is required.
Experience diagnosing and repairing marine engines and systems.
Familiar with warranty processes and insurance adjusters.
Basic safety training in boat handling and trailering.
Ability to communicate damage and repair needs clearly.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics and repair of marine engines, transmissions/drives/generators/air conditioning.
Remove and repair engine, transom or outdrive; disassemble and inspect parts for wear.
Overhaul or replace carburetors, generators, distributors, starters, pumps and electrical systems.
Rewire ignition, lights and instrument panels; install radios and marine electronics.
Operate hydraulic jack/hoist; advise shop management and adjusters as to repairs.
Complete repairs within the scheduled timeframe and ensure warranty work complies with guidelines.
Safely operate vessels during diagnostic water testing; maintain tools and certifications.
