Job summary

Ethereum Technologies LLC is seeking a Google Cloud Platform Architect with security and networking expertise to design secure cloud solutions in Columbus, OH. You will lead security policy development, threat modeling, and DDoS protection, and collaborate across DevOps and application teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines.

You will mentor teams, define reference architectures, enforce SOC2/PCI/ISO27001 controls, and work with multi-cloud considerations. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years in cloud architecture or security.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services: Cloud Armor (Security policies, WAF, Adaptive Protection), IAM, Service Accounts, and Resource Hierarchies.
• Solid understanding of network security, zero trust architecture, and cloud-native security frameworks.
• Experience with Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar IaC tools.
• Familiarity with security incident response and SIEM integrations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to interface with senior technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures for GCP environments.
• Develop and enforce security policies, access controls, and WAF configurations.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead threat modeling, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies for GCP workloads.
• Implement DDoS protection, rate limiting, and geo-based access controls for critical apps.
• Create and maintain infrastructure security standards, reference architectures, and automation templates (Terraform/Deployment Manager).
• Integrate logging, monitoring, and alerting via Cloud Logging/Monitoring and Security Command Center.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to development and DevOps on cloud security best practices.
• Ensure compliance with SOC2, PCI, ISO 27001, and related frameworks.
