Job summary

Transportation Security Administration seeks Federal Air Marshals to protect commercial flights from terrorism and other threats. The role involves working on flights domestically and internationally, carrying firearms, and maintaining high readiness with irregular schedules and travel.

The position requires 3 years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree or higher, and successful completion of a rigorous training program.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible experience demonstrating problem solving, planning, organization, and effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Protect commercial passenger flights from terrorist activity, aircraft piracy, and other threats.
• Work discreetly aboard domestic and international flights.
• Assess situations and respond with limited backup in high‑pressure environments.
• Carry a firearm and maintain required firearms proficiency.
• Conduct law enforcement, investigative, and advisory activities.
• Identify and interview witnesses or suspects when required.
