Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Executive Protection Advance Agent for the Office of Global Security in New York. This role delivers discreet protective services and conducts comprehensive advance work for principal movements in domestic and international settings.

The position requires at least 5 years in executive protection, an active armed license, and the ability to work across time zones. CPR/First Aid certification and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of military, law enforcement, or corporate security experience and training will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of executive protection experience, including independent advance work domestically and internationally.
• Completed executive protection or protective operations training program.
• Current, valid armed security license and concealed-carry authorization in New York State.
• Current certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid; tactical or emergency casualty care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough advance planning of residences, offices, event venues, hotels, restaurants, airports, and other locations prior to principal arrival.
• Develop and document route analyses, including primary and alternate routes, choke points, safe havens, and en-route medical facilities.
• Identify and map emergency exits, evacuation routes, rally points, hospital locations, and local emergency services capability.
• Produce clear advance reports, security briefs, and trip books with photos and rosters.
• Assess venue access control, camera coverage, crowd dynamics, media presence, and third-party security; implement mitigations.
• Coordinate logistics with hotel security, venues, organizers, transportation providers, law enforcement, and hosts.
• Conduct open-source risk research and integrate threat information into planning.
• Provide armed close protection during movements domestically and internationally.
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality of schedules and operations.
• Coordinate with on-site teams; prepare after-action reports and maintain records.
• Maintain equipment readiness including firearms, communications, medical kits, vehicles.
