Job summary

The City of Farmers Branch is seeking an experienced Fleet EVT to repair and maintain emergency fire protection and public safety vehicles and equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency repairs on a wide range of fleet assets in a dedicated shop.

Ideal candidates bring five years of automotive/heavy truck experience, EVT Level I & II or Ambulance certs, a valid CDL, and MVAC EPA 609; willingness to pass background and DOT checks is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED; EV T certs preferred.
• Must hold EVT Fire Apparatus Level I & II or Ambulance Level I & II certs.
• CDL Texas Class A or B with clean driving record.
• MVAC EPA 609 Certification or obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain city emergency and standard vehicles and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections per NFPA standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Record service details in fleet software and documentation.
