Job summary

Yale New Haven Health seeks a Critical Care Transport Paramedic to deliver emergency and lifesaving care and to facilitate safe patient transport on dispatch or request. You will operate within your scope, ensuring high-quality care and timely transfers.

Requirements include CT paramedic licensure, 3+ years of paramedic or specialty transport experience, and current CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS. CT certifications and a dedicated transport role are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years paramedic experience (4000 hours) or specialty care transport experience preferred.
• Current CT paramedic licensure; National Registry Paramedic preferred.
• CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; CT-specific credentials as applicable.
• Obtain/maintain Critical Care Transport certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care using SOPs and EMS protocols for the Critical Care Transport Team.
• Demonstrate advanced skills in airway management, medications, and invasive techniques as approved.
• Maintain credentials and participate in CME/quality activities.
• Deliver safe, competent patient care and coordinate transfers across departments.
