Paycom - ATS is seeking a Skilled Labor role to perform a variety of manual tasks on construction sites and other locations as needed. You will support foremen, carpenters, and concrete crews, while maintaining a clean, safe job site and delivering reliable client service.

POSITION TITLE: Skilled Labor
PRIMARY PLACE OF WORK: Job sites and other locations as needed
SUMMARY: Performs a variety of tasks involving manual labor. Lays building materials, perform physical tasks, maintains job site clean and provides support to in-house trades. Provides assistance to carpentry, concrete crews and foremen.
REPORTS TO: Production Manager and on-site supervisor for day-to-day direction
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS: Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other employees, and/or clients.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or GED
• Two (2) years general labor experience, preferably in upscale/luxury construction
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors/laborers to their understanding
• Able to provide legible written and verbal communication
• Possess a basic understanding of commercial and residential construction practices
• Knowledge of related tools, techniques, equipment, and materials
• Able to see details at close range (within a few feet)
• Ability to work independently or with little direction
• Demonstrate experience and passion for client satisfaction
• Able to perform physically demanding work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

DESIRABLE

• Four (4) years progressive construction labor experience, preferably in upscale/luxury construction
• Has own tools
• Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish
• Basic knowledge/skills in trades
• Able to enforce Allen Construction standards, policies, and procedures
• Able to prioritize and organize work assignments and follow-up as necessary to meet deadline and achieve desired results
• Able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Be a clear thinker and analyze and resolve problems while exercising good judgment
• Able to interact positively with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, laborers, and others
• Able to exert physical effort in carrying out daily duties

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work in extreme outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat, near moving mechanical parts and includes occasional exposure to wet and/or humid and or cold conditions, and to vibration.
Also, must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, sit, squat, turn, bend, walk, operate telephone, see, speak, hear, write, and lift up to 70 pounds.
