Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Security Manager to lead daily security operations for a condominium association in New York. You will oversee staff, respond to emergencies, monitor access and security systems, and coordinate with police, fire, and insurance contacts to protect residents and assets.

The role requires a high school diploma, CLSS certification (within 90 days), and a valid Security D License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• CLSS certification with AHLA within 90 days of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Security staff and short-term planning.
• Implement procedural changes and manage budget within approved constraints.
• Develop and implement safety, security and emergency plans for the condominium association.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniformed presence at all times.
• Monitor Electronic Security Control Systems and Emergency Response Systems; respond to emergencies promptly.
• Coordinate investigations with outside agencies to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Train staff on fire prevention, safety and emergency procedures.
