Job summary

Hill York seeks a skilled HVAC Service Technician to perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires a self-starter who enjoys working directly with customers, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and can independently diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues.

Technicians will ensure safe operation and efficiency across diverse commercial environments.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical activities (standing, walking, lifting 50 lbs+) and work in varied weather conditions.
• Strong written and verbal communication to clearly report findings and recommendations.
• Demonstrated mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting skills.
• Apprenticeship or technical schooling preferred for foundational knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems for commercial and residential applications to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose electronic, mechanical, and electrical components across system types and sizes.
• Provide high level of customer service, safety, and clear communication with adherence to timelines.
• Document installed equipment with make, model, serial number, test measurements, and photos.
• Coordinate with dispatch and travel to job sites within the service area and respond to after-hours service calls as needed.
