Doctors Hospital of Augusta, in partnership with the Burn Centers, seeks a surgeon specialized in Burn, Reconstructive, and Microvascular Surgery to join our Augusta, GA team. The role emphasizes complex microsurgical procedures and optimal functional/aesthetic outcomes across all ages.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to patient education, and engage in clinical research and teaching activities while maintaining high standards of medical practice.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Plastic Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Microvascular Surgery and/or Burn Surgery required.
• Current, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex plastic and reconstructive surgeries with microvascular focus.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation per standards.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and long-term care.
