Incentives are available for various duty locations, including annual recruitment incentives for 3- and 4-year contracts, with base GS-9 pay and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes detaining suspected violators, enforcing import/export laws, and performing risk assessments.
• Education Substitution: A master's degree or two years of graduate education, or a law degree from an accredited school may substitute experience.
• Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience and graduate education may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Detaining suspected violators of laws and/or arresting violators using proper law enforcement methods.
• Enforcing laws related to importing, exporting, and international shipping to the United States.
• Utilizing intelligence techniques to identify threats and perform risk assessments.
• Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity to gather information.
