Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a 3rd Shift Powder Coating & Assembly Supervisor to lead the powder coating and assembly teams, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will coach hourly staff, promote continuous improvement, and collaborate with Maintenance, Planning, and Engineering to resolve production issues.

You will read blueprints, manage schedules, and drive lean initiatives to reduce downtime and scrap while maintaining high safety standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Experience in powder coating, metal fabrication, welding, or assembly manufacturing preferred.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and production documents.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production scheduling.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the 3rd shift powder coating and assembly departments.
• Lead, coach, and develop employees while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure production schedules are met with quality and efficiency.
• Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and downtime to maximize productivity.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate priorities, safety, and quality expectations.
