Job summary

Savis­ta, LLC is seeking an Eligibility Specialist I to help patients access financial assistance programs and navigate Medicaid, Medicare, and hospital charity care. You will meet patients in-person, assess eligibility, and guide them through complex applications with empathy and clarity.

The role is on-site, with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 8:00am to 4:30pm, and requires reliable transportation and occasional local travel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years in a customer-facing role (healthcare, social services or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of state and federal assistance programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security Disability.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Occasional local travel may be required based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Use multiple systems to document, track, and report patient information.
  • Support operational needs, including staffing coverage at nearby hospital locations as needed.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Work Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00am to 4:30pm (Schedule flexibility required to meet business needs)
Primary Hospital Locations: This position is onsite and will be required to service the primary hospital locations of: Centinela Hospital Medical Center - 555 East Hardy St., Inglewood, CA. 90301

What You’ll Do:
