Responsibilities

• Locate malfunctions in brakes, motors, switches, and signal and control systems.
• Operate elevators to determine power demands and test power consumption.
• Cut prefabricated sections to specified dimensions.
• Assemble and maintain elevators and escalators using tools and testing devices.
• Attach guide shoes and rollers to minimize cars' lateral motion.
• Assemble elevator cars, installing the platform, walls, and doors.
