Job description

As an Elevator Operator, you will operate safely within Cargill policy, procedures, and governmental regulations and fully participate in Cargill Safety programs (BBSP, SafeStart etc.).

Perform critical operations to keep the facility running:

  1. Loading/Unloading trucks and railcars.
  2. Other grain handling including, filling/reclaiming of ground piles, transferring, blending etc.

Provide a high level of customer service by displaying courteous, helpful, knowledgeable interaction and behaviors. Maintain the general appearance of the facility to include elevators, grounds, buildings, etc. Monitor equipment to ensure it's in good working order, participate in the overall maintenance of the facility and equipment - notify management of any necessary repairs or possible equipment concerns. Be an involved/engaged member of a team. Ability to problem solve and make decisions as needed. Ability to work outside in all types of weather, climb ladders, and work from heights. Ability to work in a potentially physically strenuous environment.

Pay: $19/hr
Start date: ASAP through November, possibly a few weeks longer
Schedule: Working 6 days per week up to 12 hours per day. 7:30am start. Weekends will be required.

Duties:

  1. Cranking/opening hoppers on semis to dump grain into a pit.
  2. Housekeeping duties.
  3. Lifting possible up to 50 lbs.
