Job summary

Bunge in Morristown, IN is seeking an Elevator Operator III to run the grain elevator, handling loading, unloading, and transferring grain and grain products safely and efficiently. The role supports maintenance and equipment checks and contributes to overall site operations.

A Day in the Life:

The primary responsibility of the Elevator Operator III is the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe, and sanitary manner. They also assist or lead in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.

8.5-hour shift 7:30am - 4:00pm

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist in all areas of the loading, unloading, and transferring of grain and grain products for truck and rail
  • Operate and monitor more advanced grain handling equipment (grain dryer, grain control room, bin sweeps and locomotives) on a routine basis
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and repair
  • Perform grain receiving, weighing, and grading duties and help with unloading/loading of trucks and rail
  • Record all applicable documentation
  • Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a safety conscious environment
  • Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment
  • Ability to lead others and maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Skilled in maintenance, equipment operations, safety programs and grain operations
