Job summary

The Fairbanks North Star Borough School District is seeking a Classroom Tutor at Anne Wien Elementary School to provide targeted academic support in small groups or one-on-one settings. The tutor will assist teachers with strategies to meet the needs of disadvantaged students and align with the district curriculum.

Work 3.5 hours per day for 9 months, with an hourly rate of $21.60–$24.14 DOE. Excellent benefits including sick and personal leave, holidays, and retirement (PERS) are included.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the specified basic education alternatives.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and implement plans.
• Knowledge of high school level math, reading, English, social studies, and science.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic development support in small groups or one-on-one.
• Support classroom teachers with strategies for disadvantaged students.
• Contribute to delivering district curriculum and student needs.
